Story of Walls

If eyes are the window to the heart, then our faces will be walls of our bodies.
And real walls are the faces of the buildings.
They tell story through the color of skin, winkles, wounds...
Just a walk around London in few hours, I got told so many stories of so many buildings.
Some are simply the flavor of the bricks, some are painted by us, some are harmoniously hugging with nature. I walked by each wall, imagining its own unique story.

Story of history

Story of youth

Story of you trying to prove a point

Story of imagination

Story of industrialization

Story of subtle beauty

Story of art

Story of humanity

Story of detail

Story of we all live together.

Spirit Away

Visited Jiu Fen this summer, it was the place where Director Miyazaki got his inspiration for the animation movie, Spirit Away. The mountain and the sky were just started collaging itself when the sun starts to set. Little red lanterns in row, unique shops next to each other, made you feel that you have been here before, yes, perhaps in your dream.
Do you remember this in the movie?
I love this candy shop.
All Kinds of food. I wanted to try Pig Brain, but that was a little too much.
Inside of a restaurant, all antiques.

I feel that I just saw Chihiro running away.
I wish I could paint there all day.

Sadly they only open for a short amount of time.

And cheap little food that you have never seen.

Real tea shops.

I had a unforgettable night there.

A Beautiful Walk To Taiwan Before Sunset

I went to Taiwan this summer for the first time, all the beautiful images are still so vivid in my head that I want to share with you.

On a very vintage two floors bus.

Here are the photos that I took in JIU FEN before sunset, an absolutely beautiful nature and traditional people and houses. I would love to live here if I have a chance.

Beautiful traditional houses surrounded by greens.

Why do we have to keep building cities? These places are the real places that we can rest our hearts, look at ourselves. Everyday is so busy things pass by so fast now, it doesn't allow us to slow down, to think, to spend time with for ourselves. I would love to live, and have my kids grow up in this kind of places.

Beautiful textures that I love and I see them as patterns of nature.

Golden Water Fall

There is history.

Life is beautiful, don't you think so?
We have same amount of happiness and pain. If you scale up the happiness, you will see the positive side of things; if you scale up the pain, all you see and feel will be suffering.
It's a choice, a point of view.

A sunny rainy day

My first trip to London.
Gloomy, it makes me sad sometimes. But don't you just want to feel sad sometimes? Isn't it beautiful.
London, a stylish, modern, sophisticated, historical, an absolutely fashionable city. I don't know where this familiar feeling came from, I just feel that I have been here, I definitely have. It feels like you came back to your old house of your childhood, the smell, the look, the people.

A door of a little design shop near Kemistry Gallery

Everything you see, everywhere you go, it is just amazing. Graphics are skillfully designed, colors are wonderfully chosen. How can you not be artistic when you are surrounded by an environment like this?

A street near Holborn station

Nobody plans out anything, but the red doors and the red painted line, the yellow side of the red door on the right with the yellow top of her umbrella... Does it just happen?

Light pole

It's surprises everywhere. You want to keep your eyes open, you don't want to miss a thing. These light poles are standing at the most formal squares everywhere. I wonder if this was before Coco Channel.

The high and low, the ancient and modern, the nature and industrial, this city is full of mismatch, but they live together harmoniously. Creating all these contrasts, you eyes never get bored. "You have to find inspirations, otherwise it will never come to you." It is not true anymore, because there is inspiration everywhere.

And then, it makes you laugh.
